This is a permanent full‑time position commencing Term 1, 2026

Support programs and structures have been designed to work in tandem with our mainstream curriculum, providing specialised and targeted interventions for students in need.

As the Student Support Officer, you will assist in the coordination of Student Support Programs and in developing and introducing systems and intervention strategies, which provide a responsive and effective support service for students, family members and staff. Proven experience in implementing evidence‑based strategies aimed at school engagement, positive behaviour, improved attendance, social and emotional wellbeing and focuses on social and work‑related skills, will be highly regarded.

Understanding trauma informed practice and restorative justice principles, as well as maintaining high expectations of our students, is a requirement of this role, therefore experience utilising these practices is advantageous.

We are looking for a Student Support Officer who ideally shows initiative, is organised, is able to multi‑task in a high paced environment, who remains calm under pressure, who adheres to reporting policies and procedures and has ideally displayed improved positive outcomes for students while working in a similar role.

Being culturally responsive and having proven experience implementing and running engagement programmes for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to improve outcomes, will be highly regarded.

Being able to work in collaboration with the Student Services Manager, Year Coordinator and other members of the Student Services team is important to this role as well as being able to form positive relationships with parents, students and staff.
