Job summary

OMERS / Oxford Properties Group is seeking motivated students to join our team on investment-oriented terms in Toronto. You will evaluate new investment opportunities, build rigorous financial models, and perform diligence on potential portfolio additions.

You will also assist with existing portfolio operating reviews and capital structure analyses. The role emphasizes analytical rigor, teamwork, and clear communication, with exposure to senior investment professionals and real-world deal

Qualifications

  • Working towards an undergraduate degree, preferably in Business or Finance.
  • Prior student work experience in investment banking, equity research, management consulting or private equity is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and both written & verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze and evaluate new investment opportunities through industry research, competitor assessments, financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
  • Develop financial models depicting a company’s historical and projected financial results.
  • Prepare commercial and operational due diligence.
  • Assess financial returns and risks for new investment opportunities.
  • Prepare internal investment presentations.
  • Management of existing portfolio companies: Evaluate operating and financial performance.
  • Work alongside management to research and execute tuck‑in acquisitions.
  • Support capital structure management, including debt refinancing, tax planning and capital budgeting.
  • Conduct financial reporting to support decision making.
  • Ad hoc operating projects alongside management.

You will be responsible for:

Preferred Skills & Experience:

The expected salary range for this position is $66,300.00 - $87,750.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract. You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short‑term Incentive plan and our Long‑Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
