Job summary

Olds College of Agriculture & Technology in Olds, Canada, is seeking a Student Parking Attendant to support daily campus parking operations, assist customers, enforce parking policies and help maintain a safe, orderly parking environment.

You will monitor lots, issue tickets for violations, greet students and staff, provide directions, support the HotSpot parking app, and perform light administrative tasks such as permit records and weekly summaries.

Responsibilities

  • Parking management: Monitor parking lots to ensure proper use and compliance with parking regulations
  • Identify, report and/or ticket unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles
  • Assist with the management of special event parking as needed
  • Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors with parking-related inquiries
  • Provide directions and information about parking locations and regulations
  • Provide technical assistance for staff, students and guests accessing the HotSpot parking application
  • Promote a safe parking environment by observing and reporting hazards or suspicious activities
  • Respond to parking-related emergencies and provide support as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of parking permits and violations
  • Provide weekly summary of parking violations
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as signage updates and lot inspections

The Opportunity - Student, Parking Attendant

The Student Parking Attendant is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the campus parking facilities. This role involves providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors, enforcing parking policies, and helping maintain a secure and orderly parking environment.

Key Job Functions
Parking Management
  • Monitor parking lots to ensure proper use and compliance with parking regulations
  • Identify, report and/or ticket unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles

  • Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors with parking-related inquiries

Wage & Hours & Work Environment
  • Wage: $15.45 to $15.97/hour
  • Hours of work from Monday to Friday with approximately 10 hours of work per week, scheduled around academic obligations
  • Additional hours may be required at specific times of the year or for occasional, supplementary operational support
  • Primarily outdoor work, subject to varying weather conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, and light physical activity
  • Must respect and actively promote health and safety policies.
