A summer opportunity awaits 1 motivated student at our Redwater facility and 1 at our Fort Saskatchewan facility beginning May 2026 for an approximate 4‑month term. This is a temporary, full‑time, hourly‑paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.

What You’ll Do
  • Laboratory bench work.
  • General laboratory tasks (instrument maintenance and calibrations, chemical inventory, housekeeping).
  • Physical and chemical testing of nitrogen fertilizers.
  • Groundwater sampling and testing, grass sampling, and various environmental tasks and testing.
What You’ll Bring
  • Enrolled in a Science program (Chemical Technology or Chemistry) or equivalent degree/technical program.
  • Competence in standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Class 5 Drivers License.
  • Previous related work experience at Nutrien or in another industrial setting, an asset.
  • Confirmation of registration in a post‑secondary institution in a degree or diploma program in Fall 2026.
  • Must be self‑motivated along with the ability to pay close attention to detail and have a strong ability to work individually as well as in a team setting.
