Job summary

Celestica, a Toronto‑headquartered global technology leader, seeks a Web Cloud Student Intern. You will help design, develop, and support applications on premise and in cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.

You’ll work with global teams, gaining hands‑on experience and exposure to cutting‑edge projects. Start May 2027 at 5140 Yonge Street, North York, ON, in a 16‑month internship.

Qualifications

• Preferred skills include development experience in Java, Springboot, Angular, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, and .NET C#.
• Basic knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle concepts.
• Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving mindset.
• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or Software Engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Developing and/or enhancing web solutions on premise and on cloud platforms.
• Assist in gathering requirements for new applications and documenting specs.
• Perform routine management, support, and reporting tasks for applications.
• Collaborate with other teams on system troubleshooting and testing releases.

About this opportunity:

The Web Cloud Student Intern will be involved in the design, development, and support of new and existing applications (both on premise and cloud platforms - such as Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).

Preferred Skills:

• Some development experience in any of the following: Java, Springboot, Angular, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, .NET C# 4.0, SQL, etc, would be considered an asset

• Basic knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle concepts

• Strong analytical skills

• Desire to make a difference and solve problems

Activities:

• Developing and\or enhancing web solutions (both on premise and on cloud platforms)

• Assisting in the gathering of requirements for new applications- includes collecting and analyzing existing documentation, reviewing with Subject Matter Experts & writing specification documents

• Perform routine management/support/reporting tasks as they relate to applications (both out of the box and custom development) under our control

• Working with other team(s) in system troubleshooting of the application problems

• Testing of new releases of the application for production environment

Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include:

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Salary

The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

The hourly wage is determined by the years of study completed and is non‑negotiable as per company policy.

Hourly Wage: $24.00-30.00 CAD/hr
