Cameco invites applications for a Student, Exploration Geology position to join the exploration team at one of Cameco’s camps. This field-based role targets a student in geology returning to school after the term, with duties spanning drill core logging, sampling, data collection, and data management.

The successful candidate will support exploration activities for a term of approximately four to sixteen months starting May 2027, with a salary range listed for the role.

Competenze

• You are entering your third or fourth year as a university student in geology or a related program.
• Must have a Class 5 driver’s license.
• You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.
• Experience in an exploration environment is recommended.

The Role

Be an integral member of Cameco’s exploration team, striving to bring the multiple benefits of nuclear energy to the world, by finding the next generation of uranium deposits. In this role, you will:

• Assist the team with various aspects of exploration, including geological and geotechnical drill core logging, sampling and downhole probing, field-oriented data collection, scouting the position of drill trails and drill holes, data management, and other duties associated with drill programs that may be assigned.
• Assist with a variety of special projects and other day-to-day field- or office-based activities.

Required:

• you are entering your third or fourth year as a university student currently enrolled in geology or a related program;
• class 5 driver’s license or equivalent;
• you must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.

Recommended:

• experience in an exploration environment.

Salary Range: $78,825 - $97,016
