STUDENT CONFIGURATION TECHNICIAN – ENGINEERING BUSINESS SYSTEMS CO-OP – WINNIPEG, MB • 8-Month Co-op Term (possible extension), Paid, Flex/Hybrid

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated engineering co-op student to join our Product Configuration team. In this role, you will assist in maintaining the accuracy of the Product Configurator database within Siemens Teamcenter, ensuring engineering documentation and product variants are correctly implemented. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product configuration, data validation, and engineering process improvement within a leading manufacturing environment.

What you will do
  • Support the creation and maintenance of product offering variants within the Teamcenter Product Configurator.
  • Assist in reviewing engineering documentation for integration into the configurator system.
  • Help validate product rules and ensure accurate configuration of allowable variants.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to assess and implement new product options.
  • Participate in data cleanup, system testing, and accuracy verification activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance configurability and efficiency.
  • Prepare and organize configuration documentation for reference and audit purposes.
What you need to be successful
  • Currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary engineering program and eligible for co-op placement.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g., Unigraphics/Siemens NX, AutoCAD) is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
