Job summary

Fitch Ratings is seeking an Associate Director to join its Structured Credit & CLOs group in our Toronto office. You will analyze CLO ratings, prepare rating conclusions for credit committees, and draft commentary for market participants while contributing to research publications.

You will work in a collaborative environment that values clear communication, rigorous analysis, and professional growth within a leading global rating agency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (finance, accounting, economics, etc.).
  • At least four years of experience in the financial industry, with a preference for CLOs or Structured Finance.
  • Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • High level of personal responsibility, initiative, and self-management.
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects accurately and succinctly.
  • Interest in capital markets and structured finance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of programming languages is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze ratings on CLOs using proprietary models.
  • Prepare and present rating conclusions to a credit committee.
  • Draft rating action commentary reports to communicate rating decisions to market participants.
  • Contribute to recurring and special research publications.
