As Structural Workshop Manager you will be responsible for the technical and human management of the structural drafting team. You will supervise a group of 12 technicians, ensure the quality of deliverables and act as a key liaison between engineers, external professionals and the internal team.
Your structural expertise and leadership will be essential to the success of our projects.
What you will accomplish with us
- Lead mentor and motivate the technical team in the workshop
- Plan assign and monitor the production tasks for structural drawings
- Coordinate with engineers and other professionals to develop plans and specifications
- Ensure compliance of drawings and documentation with project standards and requirements
- Participate in project kickoff meetings with clients and stakeholders
- Support engineers in technical design and 3D modeling
- Estimate material quantities required for projects
- Provide technical site support when needed
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes and quality standards
Qualifications
- College diploma in architecture or civil engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience including team management or supervision of a technical drafting department
- Advanced skills in Revit and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Planner)
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Strong initiative, attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to share knowledge and train team members
- High adaptability and ability to prioritize in dynamic environments
- Strong communication skills in both English and French written and spoken
