The Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Superintendent to lead the construction of structural steel and cladding for a crusher facility, including structural steel installation inside the processing building. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with a strong background in stick building, who can manage teams, schedules, and quality to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

This role is camp‑based on a rotation schedule subject to client requirements (ie. 14 on/14 off, 18 on/10 off, etc.), with a travel allowance provided. These remote project roles will be working 12 hour days.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate all activities related to erecting structural steel and installing cladding.
  • Oversee structural steel installation inside the processing building.
  • Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Lead and mentor site crews, subcontractors, and trades.
  • Manage schedules, resources, and workflow to maintain project timelines.
  • Conduct daily inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Liaise with project management, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues proactively.
Skills / Education / Qualifications
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in structural steel construction, including stick-built steel and cladding.
  • Previous experience as a Superintendent or Lead Foreman on industrial construction projects.
  • Journeyperson certification in a related structural trade is preferred – Ironworker, Metal Fitter / Fabricator, Welder, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel erection, welding, bolting, and cladding installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience working in industrial environments such as processing facilities, mining, or aggregate operations is an asset.
  • Must be able to work in a camp-based environment.
  • Must have valid safety tickets (WHMIS, CSTS, Fall Protection, etc.).
  • Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
