PTW Energy Services is hiring Structural Steel Fitters for full-time roles in our Calgary fabrication shop. Ideal candidates have basic experience with reading engineering drawings, setting up metalworking tasks, and assembling components to exact specs.

The role emphasizes safety, precision, and efficient material handling. Overtime opportunities are available, along with paid training to further develop welding and fabrication skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years commercial/industrial experience.
• Welding courses and Red Seal certification considered assets.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and plan material selection and cutting sequences.
• Prepare, lay out, and detail heavy metal components to specification.
• Set up and operate metalworking equipment, including torches, grinders, drills, and punches.
• Fit, torch cut, assemble, and install fabricated components to final stage.
• Safely rig and move materials while maintaining organized, compliant work areas.

Role Summary

We are currently hiring Structural Steel Fitters for full-time positions in our steel fabrication shop in Calgary.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and plan efficient material selection and cutting sequences
• Prepare, lay out, and detail heavy metal components to specification
• Set up and operate metalworking equipment, including torches, grinders, drills, and punches
• Fit, torch cut, assemble, and install fabricated components to final stage
• Safely rig and move materials while maintaining organized, compliant work areas
