• Designing efficient, well‑thought‑out structural systems
• Diving deeper into calculations and technical problem‑solving
• Working closely with both clients and internal teams (engineers and technicians)
• Following projects from design through construction, with support and flexibility

This opportunity is for our Sainte‑Dorothée (Laval) team.

Your Role Within the Team

• Analyzing and designing building structures (steel, reinforced concrete, and wood)
• Performing structural calculations and preparing clear, well‑structured technical reports
• Developing detailed plans and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Participating in project kick‑off meetings, planning, and coordination
• Coordinating drafting activities with technicians and ensuring the quality of deliverables
• Conducting surveys of existing structures when required
• Contributing to the optimization of technical solutions and work methods
• Gradually, based on your experience and interests, taking on greater responsibilities in project management and technical mentorship of junior colleagues

Profile We’re Looking For

You could be an excellent fit if you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or Construction Engineering, with a structural focus
• Membership in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• Approximately 5 years of experience in building structural design (flexible depending on profile)
• Experience in consulting engineering in Québec (a significant asset)
• Solid proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, and SAFE
• ASP Construction card
• Strong technical judgment and attention to detail
• Good organizational skills and a strong team spirit
• Excellent command of French, both written and spoken (essential)

Assets

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
• Valid driver’s license (occasional travel required)
