Job description

Our client, a civil engineering and construction company, is looking for a Structural Engineer, (50% site work and 50% office work).

  • Design access structures and installation plans, and custom parts as needed;
  • Prepare calculation notes;
  • Inspect structures before use and prepare letters of compliance;
  • Assist in R & D to create new products and improve designs;
  • Participate in the bidding phase with the sales department;
  • Attend preliminary project visits and meetings as needed, analyze site surveys and participate in preliminary designs and ensure project feasibility;
  • Coordinate and conduct resistance tests;
  • Develop safety systems for certain projects;
  • Work closely with all departments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering, OIQ member;
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in structural design or temporary structures;
  • ASP construction card;
  • Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD) and MS Office;
  • Access to a vehicle;
  • French, functional English (clients in Ontario).
