The Structural Division is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to support the growth of the office and the existing team in Abitibi‑Témiscamingue.

Your Role
  • Design and deliver various structural works.
  • Assist the senior engineer in determining project‑specific needs, defining scope of work, and identifying steps and timelines.
  • Perform on‑site inspections.
  • Work closely with clients to develop solutions.
  • Prepare preliminary studies and reports as required.
  • Perform design and calculations related to project requirements.
  • Supervise the preparation of plans.
  • Coordinate activities with other disciplines and client representatives.
  • Draft technical specifications and reports.
  • Estimate project costs.
  • Coordinate between various stakeholders.
  • Supervise construction when required.
  • Review shop drawings.
  • Provide technical support during construction work.
  • Assist the senior engineer and manager in team development.
  • Perform any other tasks related to these functions.
  • Comply with rules and procedures that ensure employee health and safety and environmental protection, as well as incident prevention. In addition, in a continuous improvement mindset, be proactive in improving health, safety, and environmental procedures to prevent potential hazards related to your work.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and/or construction engineering.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the field (building or industrial).
  • Knowledge and proficiency in structural modeling software (e.g., SAFI, ADA‑Graitec, Etabs).
  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • Experience in a consulting engineering firm is an asset.
  • Logical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Valid Québec driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the province.
  • Availability to work, when required, in remote areas (Baie‑James, Northern Québec).
