Job summary

Stantec in Ontario, Canada, is seeking a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team. The successful candidate will work on projects across North America and worldwide, performing modeling, drafting, and structural design under supervision of a Senior Designer or Engineer.

You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to project deliverables on time and on budget, and have opportunities for professional growth within a global design firm.

Qualifications

  • Experience in modeling and drafting for structural design.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, designers and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply the Stantec Safety Culture and Health and Safety rules for projects.
  • Perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks for a wide variety of projects.
  • Complete project deliverables on budget and schedule.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project teams to produce quality design deliverables.
  • Work with Engineers and Junior Designers on fit-for-purpose designs that meet client needs.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to designers for professional development.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects within Stantec's guidelines.
  • Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members.
  • Travel to local project sites as needed.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects within Stantec's quality control guidelines.
  • Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members.
  • Travel to local project sites as needed.

Pay Transparency:In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
