Be our next Structural Designer!

In this role, you will be a part of the Oil and Gas & Chemical team, based in the Brampton office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Produce structural engineering 3D models and 2D construction drawings using Smart Plant 3D, Revit and/or Cadworx software for industrial structural infrastructure such as steel racks and supports, building structures and accessories, concrete foundations, concrete and steel piles, stairs, platforms and ladders
• Produce material quantity take offs
• Working with various CADD software including Revit, Smart Plant 3D, Cadworx
• The Structural Designer will work alongside more experienced engineers and designers to perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling tasks
• Sound understanding of the discipline’s common designs and materials
• Produce final civil and structural deliverable drawings
• Work under general supervision and complete familiar assignments and solve problems of detail or presentation without direct supervision

What your experience looks like

• Five (5) years of structural/civil experience in heavy industrial applications
• Expert level knowledge of the 3D design process and preparation of construction documents
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD required
• Proficiency in Smart Plant 3D is highly preferred
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel required
• Positive team player
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and client focused
• Ability to prioritize tasks, met deadlines and work collaboratively on multiple projects at once
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
