Overview

Position: Structural Design Engineer

Experience: 3 to 10 Years

Location: Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Authorization: Must be authorized to work in Canada

Industry: Aerospace

Responsibilities
  • Perform structural design and development of aerospace components and assemblies in compliance with industry standards and airworthiness requirements.
  • Work extensively on Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes, ensuring timely execution and documentation of design modifications.
  • Create, update, and review 3D models and 2D drawings using tools such as CATIA V5 and ENOVIA/PLM systems.
  • Perform detailed design modifications using CATIA V5.
  • Support design integration with stress, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams.
  • Conduct design reviews, tolerance stack-up analysis, and maintain accurate design documentation.
  • Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles in designs and drawings to ensure manufacturability and assembly accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to provide engineering solutions for issues raised during manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
  • Manage data and workflows through ENOVIA PLM.
  • Ensure all design changes meet aerospace standards and customer expectations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality and schedule targets.
