Job summary

A community service organization in Ottawa is seeking a Street Outreach Worker to provide essential services to homeless individuals, including mobile assessments, crisis intervention, and assistance with securing housing. Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in direct client service with the homeless.
  • Ability to de-escalate situations with intoxicated individuals.
  • Experience in harm reduction and mental health services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wellness checks and provide emergency transports.
  • Connect with homeless individuals and engage them in services.
  • Complete intake forms and assessments on behalf of clients.
