Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Regina, Saskatchewan.

What you'll do
  • Drive value through strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cross‑functional collaboration to support manufacturing and maintenance excellence.
  • Lead the execution of enterprise‑wide category management strategies, driving cost savings and service improvements through contract management and supplier performance initiatives. Working closely with cross‑functional teams you will standardize goods and services, capture business needs, analyze market trends, and apply best practices to optimize category performance.
  • Collaborate with internal procurement teams and technical stakeholders in Turnaround and Maintenance to align sourcing strategies with operational plans, technical requirements, and timelines.
  • Support the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Procurement in delivering cost savings, supplier performance and procurement KPIs.
  • Set and track goals for quality, cost and service within your categories, ensuring performance meets business objectives and annual savings targets.

  • Co‑op Refinery Complex (CRC) business unit during Turnaround and Maintenance periods.

Who you are
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supply management and supplier management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Experience with FCL categories/commodities preferred, particularly in the specific assigned category (e.g., Contractors/Complex Services, IT, Transportation & Logistics, Equipment Capital).
  • Experience in contract/contractor management, including selection of service providers and understanding of contractor dynamics (e.g., union rules/regulations).
  • Certificates in procurement, supply management, inventory management, Lean/Six Sigma or operational planning are an asset. MBA or Master's degree in Business Supply Chain Management, Finance or Operations Management is an asset.
