Job summary

Jobtailor in Canada is seeking a Risk Management Professional to help identify, assess and monitor strategic risks across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide advisory support on ambitious initiatives.

You will prepare executive reports, track mitigation plans and help raise awareness of risk management standards. Fluency in English and French is required to communicate with diverse clients and partners across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in risk management, auditing, strategic planning or project management
• Strong interest in strategic issues and risk management with analytical and synthesis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to prepare executive presentations
• Team player with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of financial services or insurance industry is a plus
• Fluency in English and French for Canada-wide communication

Job description

• Contribute to the identification, assessment, monitoring and tracking of strategic, cross-functional and emerging risks
• Conduct risk analyses and provide advisory support in assessing projects, initiatives and strategic matters
• Monitor action plans, mitigation measures, indicators and related documentation with business partners
• Prepare reports, presentations and other documents for senior management and various committees
• Support and raise awareness among partners regarding risk management methodologies, tools and standards
• Collect, consolidate and analyze data to provide an integrated view of risks
• Research and analyze emerging trends influencing the business environment and the organization’s risk profile
• Collaborate with other risk management teams to ensure a consistent and harmonized approach
• Facilitate workshops, working sessions and training activities as required
• Participate in projects or assignments requiring risk management expertise
• Perform other responsibilities contributing to the team’s objectives

Requirements

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or another relevant field
• Has two to five years of experience in risk management, auditing, strategic planning, project management or a related field
• Demonstrates a strong interest in strategic issues and organizational risk management, as well as strong analytical and synthesis skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare executive-level presentations
• Excellent teamwork, intellectual curiosity and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Knowledge of the financial services or insurance industry, an asset
• Familiarity with risk management principles, project management methodologies or LEAN approaches, an asset
• Advanced proficiency in English and French is required, for daily communication with English-speaking and French-speaking clients and partners across Canada
