lululemon is seeking a Senior Manager, Senior Counsel (Regulatory Affairs) to lead regulatory strategy and collaborate with government affairs, industry associations, and Legal leadership in Canada. The role shapes policy outcomes, provides risk-based legal guidance, and ensures regulatory readiness across the business.

The position emphasizes leadership, cross-functional partnership, and a proactive approach to evolving regulations, with direct reports and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent degree with bar admission or in-house registration.
• 5+ years of legal experience in-house or at a law firm.
• Ability to interpret laws and provide risk-based legal advice.
• Strong written and verbal communication; present to senior leaders.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and report on proposed legislation within designated areas.
• Identify regulatory developments with greatest impact on operations.
• Assess legal implications of new regulations with cross-functional teams.
• Lead relationships with industry associations and advocacy efforts.
• Provide practical, risk-based legal advice and mitigation strategies.
• Educate Legal and cross-functional partners on upcoming regulations.
• Prepare updates for senior leadership on regulatory developments.
• Manage outside counsel and oversee spend within Compliance budget.
• Lead and develop team members and ensure accountability.
