Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree with a scientific/technical background and a Bachelors Degree in Law.
- A designated Canadian and/or US patent agent.
- Minimum four (4) years of practical experience.
- Significant patent law and prosecution knowledge required.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with legal and business colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for selecting and prosecuting high priority IP assets.
- Provide expert patent prosecution advice to commercialization colleagues.
- Act as a liaison between licensing and legal teams.
- Participate in training for UHN personnel on legal and regulatory matters.
