Job summary

A well-respected charitable organization in Burnaby is seeking an HR Business Partner to execute HR strategies, support performance management, and ensure compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive HR experience, a relevant university degree, and a strong understanding of HR processes. This full-time position offers a competitive salary within the range of $61,665.54 to $77,081.92.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in HR generalist role.
  • Familiarity with employment laws including ESA, OHSA, and WSIA.
  • Experience in labour relations is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Align HR strategies with organizational goals and track effectiveness.
  • Facilitate performance cycles and support improvement plans.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and manage misconduct cases.

Skills

Strong understanding of employment laws
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage tasks

Education

University degree in social sciences or related field
Completion of HR designation (CPHR)
