Job summary

Rubicon Organics is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead the Safety Management System across a growing team in Delta, BC. You will partner with operations, drive compliance, and build a strong safety culture for 300+ employees.

You will oversee regulatory alignment, audits, and continuous improvement, while mentoring the Safety Advisor and developing safety programs aligned with business growth.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC requirements and safety legislation.
• Experience leading a Safety Management System in a manufacturing or operational setting.

Responsibilities

• Own the SMS, including design, governance, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Roll out the SMS across departments and sites with training and documentation.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions, and audits.
• Develop safety strategy, metrics, and governance with senior leaders.
• Oversee JHSC activities and ensure regulatory compliance and readiness.
