Job summary

Vendasta, headquartered in Saskatoon, seeks a General Counsel to build a high-performing legal function and serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team for global scale.

You will lead legal strategy, corporate transactions, governance, and risk management in an AI-first SaaS environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years post-bar experience in SaaS/tech, a JD/LLB, Saskatchewan bar membership, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Post-admission to the bar; SaaS/tech experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Comprehensive expertise in corporate, commercial, and intellectual property law.
• Ability to establish governance frameworks and manage ethical AI strategy implementations.

Responsibilities

• Define overall legal strategy and AI governance.
• Lead mergers, acquisitions, and capital markets transactions from due diligence to post-close integration.
• Oversee corporate governance filings and regulatory compliance across global operations.
• Negotiate and draft sophisticated commercial agreements and policies.
