Job summary

University of Toronto, Department of Computer Science, is seeking a Finance Manager to support the Department’s financial resources, budgets and procurement. Under the Director of Administration, you will oversee budgeting, payroll and purchasing, and provide financial analysis.

Qualifications

University degree in finance or accounting, with professional designation asset.
Minimum of 5 years related management, financial and supervisory experience.
Experience with SAP (FIS, RIS, HRIS) or equivalent systems.
Experience liaising with senior administrators and handling complex matters.
Ability to develop budgets and financial plans and perform variance analyses.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation and management of annual operating budget and expenditures.
Oversee management of research grants, PI accounts, and budget tracking.
Provide cost estimates for new programs; supervise staff processing financial transactions.
Monitor cash positions and assist with forecasting.
Ensure compliance with university financial policies.
