Job summary

Quarterhill’s Safety & Enforcement division seeks a Director of Finance to guide financial health and strategy. Lead the close process, reporting, budgeting, and compliance while partnering with senior leadership to drive sustainable growth.

You will oversee statutory statements, cash flow, risk management, and coordination with tax, insurance, and external audits, ensuring robust controls and strategic financial insight across the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional designation required.
• 8–12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience and IFRS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial close process for the S&E division.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Develop analyses for variances vs budget and prior periods.
• Oversee statutory financial statements and compliance processes.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and support contract negotiations.
• Provide inputs on project finance and product investment decisions.
• Coordinate with AR/AP and Project Finance teams for accuracy and timeliness.
