Job summary

Halifax Regional Municipality seeks a permanent Civic Addressing Coordinator to administer civic addressing and asset naming programs, lead policy development, and provide mentorship within Planning Information Services.

Responsibilities include managing by-laws, budgets, public education, and reporting to Regional Council; requires strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in Planning, Geography, Information Management or Spatial Analysis and a technical diploma in Planning, GIS or Spatial Analysis.
• Minimum three years in planning, engineering or geomatics, municipal setting preferred.
• Experience with municipal civic addressing and ESRI products.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Civic Addressing and Asset Naming staff and committees.
• Lead policy development and by-law implementation for Civic Addressing and Asset Naming.
• Coordinate projects, budgets and reporting to Council and Committees.
• Engage in public consultation and prepare reports/presentations for stakeholders.
