Qualifications

• CPA, CA, CMA or CGA designation required.
• Minimum five years in senior financial management.
• Strong knowledge of the Indian Act and Financial Transparency Act.
• Experience in budgeting, planning and reporting.

• Proficient with financial software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Band objectives.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Indian Act and Financial Transparency Act.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and planning process.
• Manage cash flow and optimize investment strategies.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors.
• Provide strategic financial advice to Chief and Council.
• Supervise the finance team and foster professional development.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial records and reporting systems.
