Job summary
A Canadian educational institution is seeking a Budget Officer to support finance and accounting functions within its Academic Operations and Planning department. This role requires a Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting and three years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will manage financial tracking, assist in reporting, and ensure all data integrity. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and is a full-time contract for four months, starting December 15, 2025.
Qualifications
- Three years related experience in finance positions with increasing responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain standards for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience working with projects and project management.
Responsibilities
- Support financial management and tracking for the department.
- Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly and year-end financial statements.
- Support the decision-making process of the department.
Skills
Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
Experience in Workday or similar software
Experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
Excellent interpersonal skills
Education
Minimum three (3) year Degree/Diploma in Business, Finance or Accounting
