Job summary

Saatchi & Saatchi Canada is seeking a Strategy Director to join their happy team in Toronto. You will lead the strategic planning process, shape brands, and partner with creative and account teams to deliver bold work that drives client success.

You will guide research, develop consumer insights, and craft compelling brand narratives across integrated campaigns, while mentoring junior staff and growing client relationships.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of marketing experience with a track record in strategic planning within an agency setting.
• Ability to own and lead a portfolio of brands and projects.
• Strong brand planning skills with clear positioning and messaging.
• Clear storytelling and brief-writing abilities with actionable insights.
• Familiarity with insight tools, media channels and terminology.
• Experience with measurement and results-focused approaches.
• Integrated planning experience emphasizing storytelling and journey mapping.
• Comfort with data analytics and crafting actionable learnings.
• Proven ability to build great client, creative and account relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning process to generate powerful brand ideas.
• Provide educated input into research methodology across quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Guide strategic thinking on integrated campaigns.
• Create consumer profiles with insights into behavior, attitudes and usage.
• Lead and support creative brief writing.
• Inspire and guide creative teams during development; act as partner and sounding board.
• Champion bold, distinct and effective creative.
• Plan and facilitate integrated planning sessions with internal and external participants.
• Scout cultural trends and channel opportunities; distill into actionable implications.
