Job summary

Avery Dennison in North York, Ontario, is seeking a Buyer to manage intermediate procurement activities and connect Sales, Finance, and Production to ensure procurement aligns with business goals in the apparel and athletics sector.

You will own the full lifecycle of purchase orders, monitor stock, audit invoices for accuracy, and drive ROI on spend while partnering cross-functionally to support product needs and ethical sourcing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field.
• 4–5 years in buying/purchasing/procurement, preferably in apparel.
• Strong understanding of purchasing techniques and ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent communication and vendor relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders (POs).
• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or dead stock.
• Audit vendor invoices to ensure accurate charges and drive ROI.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance and Production.
• Conduct supplier ethical sourcing audits and support procurement strategies.
