Guru Studio in Canada is seeking a mid-level Storyboard Revisionist to join PAW Patrol on a fixed-term contract. You will clean up panels, follow notes from directors, and maintain the show's visual style while working with the production team.

The role requires strong drawing, composition, and storytelling skills, plus proficiency in Toon Boom Storyboard Pro and a ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Remote-friendly with in-person studio collaboration.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a revisionist for 3D animated works.
• Experienced in Toon Boom Storyboard Pro.
• Previous storyboarding experience is ideal.
• Excellent drawing and composition skills.
• Strong draftsmanship and mechanical skills.
• Strong composition and staging skills.
• Solid knowledge of story, including language, acting and craft.
• Must work fast and efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the show’s style.
• Willingness to learn applicable design software/hardware.
• Must be able to work digitally.

Job Description

Guru Studio is a creative-driven entertainment company and an industry leader in animated storytelling. For over twenty years, their studio has brought to life some of the most recognizable and beloved children’s properties in the world.

They’re looking for a visionary Storyboard Revisionist to join them on PAW Patrol!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean-up and redraw panels on quickly and efficiently
• Follow instructions and address notes from assistant directors
• Communicate progress of work to assistant director and production team
• Ensure quality, look and style of the show is consistently achieved in storyboard work
• Adhere to storyboard team process and standards
• Follow proper document management requirements (i.e., file naming and storage) according to the production’s guidelines

Contract duration: Fixed-term contract of approximately 8 weeks with possibility to extend

Master the exact workflow used in professional animation pipelines by learning the timeless 12 basic principles of animation. From timing, spacing, and volume control to easing in and out, and so much more. We will go over everything you need to understand about animation in just 3 months.

By the end you'll have created your first portfolio-ready animated shots

Jump into developing dynamic character animation by building strong foundations in walk cycles, posing, and design, then progressing into action shots, perspective, and movement in space. You’ll refine weight, rhythm, and staging, and finish by assembling a polished demo reel that showcases your character in motion.

New students are required to submit animation samples for review before joining.

In this course, you’ll focus on character acting in 2D animation, learning how to bring emotion and personality into your work. You’ll develop expressive performances by studying references and analyzing character emotions then translating them into believable movement.

You’ll go beyond mechanics and learn how to create authentic, engaging performances that connect with the audience.

New students are required to submit animation samples for review before joining.

2D Animation Short film creation Starting soon

In the Short Film Creation course you'll be animating a teaser trailer. Students will collaborate as a full production team, animators, artists, and composers, building the project from concept to final cut. It’s fandom, craft, and industry-level storytelling all in one epic experience.
