Job summary

A federal government department in Dartmouth is seeking a Storesperson Services professional to manage warehouse operations. Essential Qualifications

  • AOC1: Valid Control and Packaging of Hazardous Material certification
  • AOC2: Valid Dangerous Goods certification
  • AEX1: Experience working with hazardous materials including handling, storage, and disposal.
  • AEX2: Experience in the procedures relating to shipping and receiving.
  • AEX3: Experience in the maintenance and disposal of inventory.
  • AEX4: Experience using the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) or similar SAP software for inventory or resource management.
  • AEX5: Experience supervising.
  • AEX6: Experience using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • AEX7: Experience working or volunteering in a mixed civilian and military environment.
Conditions of Employment
  • Secret security clearance and reliability status security clearance
  • Valid provincial/territorial driver’s licence
  • Forklift operator’s qualification (DND 404 Driver/Operator Permit)
  • Safe lifting of items up to 20 kg
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Work overtime as pre‑authorised
  • Travel for training purposes (occasionally for extended periods of time)
  • Use of CSA approved safety footwear and other PPE
  • Work in a warehouse environment with minimal supervision
  • Work in confined spaces, climb ladders and on elevated devices
