Job summary

Babcock Canada in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Stores Clerk - Aviation to monitor and maintain inventory, receive parts, and support aircraft maintenance schedules. You will use CAMP software, coordinate with aviation engineering, and ensure timely stock availability for critical assets.

The role includes handling outbound shipments, liaising with couriers, and participating in a rotating on-call schedule after hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related degree/diploma asset.
• 2–3 years of inventory management experience in aviation.
• Experience in receiving, storing, issuing, transporting and distributing material.
• Data entry and documentation control experience.
• WHMIS training an asset; shipping and customs documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Eligible for RAIC and ITAR clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain stock levels using CAMP software.
• Receive parts into stock using approved processes.
• Quarantine non-conforming aircraft parts and materials.
• Package and ship material and tools for schedules.
• Monitor dangerous goods and prepare shelf-life reports.
• Prepare outbound international shipments with customs documents.
• Collaborate with the Aviation Engineering team.
• Coordinate with external couriers and freight companies.
• Prioritize Aircraft on Ground items and finalize delivery.
• Report safety hazards via the SMS system.
• Complete required trainings including WHMIS and other.
• On-call rotation after business hours.

Description

• Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels using CAMP software.
• Receive parts and material into stock using approved processes.
• Ensure the quarantine of non-conforming aircraft parts and materials.
• Package and ship material and tools in support of aircraft operational and maintenance schedules.
• Monitor parts and material including dangerous goods; and preparing shelf-life control reports.
• Prepare and manage outbound international shipments, including preparing customs documents and selecting shipping methods.
• Work with the Aviation Engineering team.
• Work with external couriers and freight companies to collect packages from stores for distribution to other bases and suppliers.
• Ensure Aircraft on Ground items are prioritized, and delivery arrangements finalized.
• Report all safety hazards or concerns through the Safety Management System (SMS) system.
• Participate in all training as assigned including but not limited to Human Factors, Ladder & Lifting, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
• This position will be in an on-call rotation after business hours.

The ideal candidate brings:

• High school diploma or equivalent (a Degree/Diploma in a related field would be considered an asset).
• Two to three (2-3) years of experience in an Inventory Management environment in an Aviation setting.
• Experience in the following areas:
• Methods and practices used to receive, store, issue, transport and distribute material
• Data entry
• Stock control and inventory management
• Control of Documentation
• WHMIS training an asset (annual training is provided)
• Shipping and customs documentation
• Positivity, resiliency and focus.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
• Eligibility for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and ITAR Clearance.
