Job description
Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Stores Attendant III to fill a position at the Fort Nelson General Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health and under the general supervision of the Manager, Site Administrator or designate, the Stores Attendant utilizes computerized systems for shipping and receiving goods, filling orders, transporting supplies and materials in a single or multi‑site operation, performing and verifying inventory levels and maintaining all related documentation and records. Promote public safety when goods are being handled, offered for transport or transported, applying appropriate safety protocols.

Shift Rotation / Hours of work

Monday to Friday, Days – 08:00 to 14:00

Fort Nelson General Hospital

Fort Nelson General Hospital is an important health centre for the north. The hospital houses 25 Acute Care beds and 8 Long‑term beds. Services include:

  • Lab and X‑ray facilities
  • Community Counselling Services
  • Minor Surgery
  • Physiotherapy
  • Massage Therapy
  • Regular visitation from a pediatrician

Fort Nelson is located in the northernmost reaches of the Rocky Mountains, has magnificent scenery and landscapes. The main industries are forestry, natural gas, transportation and tourism. The population is approximately 3,370. There are now three elementary schools and one secondary school. Fort Nelson is a charming and friendly community with genuine personality. The importance of the Alaska Highway is immediately evident and the town itself is built around the highway, with the museum, gas stations, shopping.
