Job summary

UFA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Sr. Store Manager in Alberta. The role oversees in-store and yard staff, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and POS procedures.

You will drive daily operations, supervise staff, and help achieve sales targets. The position requires a Grade 12 Diploma with 1–3 years supervisory experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, with training in safety and equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma with 1–3 years of progressive supervisory experience in B2B sales/service.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and mentor staff.
• Experience in sales and customer service with emphasis on meeting targets.
• Computer skills, especially POS systems and BI reporting functionalities.
• Willingness to obtain WHMIS, TDG, and forklift operator training; maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily store operations and supervision of in-store and yard staff.
• Ensure payroll, financial controls, budgeting, and asset protection compliance.
• Maintain accuracy of POS processes and adapt to promotions.
• Lead safety culture and training to meet safety targets.
• Motivate and coach staff to achieve sales targets and ensure proper training.
• Maintain visual presentation and merchandising per directives.
• Collaborate across operations, merchandising, and business support to follow SOPs.
• Act as Store Manager in the Manager's absence.
