Job summary

Saje Natural Wellness in Vancouver is seeking a Store Manager to lead the in-store experience and supervise a team of product ambassadors. You will model exceptional customer service, drive sales, and ensure the store operates smoothly and safely.

The impact you'll make:

Reporting to the District Manager, Store Managers (SM) drive our mission first-hand with our customers: you connect people to the healing power of plants so they can live their life to the fullest, naturally. To do this, you'll lead the Saje Experience with your team and ensure its delivery to each and every customer, guiding their wellness journey through product demos, deep education and tailored recommendations.

The SM is accountable for leading key aspects of their store's business and is responsible for the profitability and productivity of thier store. By attracting, leading and developing Team Members, the SM drives key business results and ensures that all aspects of the in-store experience are delivered consistently and in alignment with our commitment to providing our community members with excellent service and spreading wellness. To support this, the Store Manager focuses onPeople, Operations, Visual Merchandising, Community Outreach and other levers to build a strong, profitable business.

All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje's culture and maintaining a positive work environment for themselves and their peers.

What you'll do:

Store Experience

  • Authentically connect with customers and deliver consistent and exceptional service following the standards of our sales model, the Saje experience.
  • GPOP (Get Product On People) to demonstrate our product, both inside and outside of the store, to drive awareness and understanding of Saje.
  • Educate on our products and on 100% natural wellness, to make wellness easy, accessible, and inclusive for all.
  • Make bold recommendations to support the wellness needs of our customers, building baskets to create and expand on health habits centered on our products.
  • Contribute to a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion.

Business Ownership

  • Be accountable to your part in driving the commercial goals of your store and our business, and work as a team to achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Generate business results and achieve key KPIs including revenue and comp growth goals, AVS, IPT, traffic, conversion, and loyalty program growth.
  • Ensure Team Members are equipped with the product knowledge they need to make intentional recommendations for Community Members.
  • Uphold presentation standards and assess and action merchandising opportunities in order to elevate the in-store experience.
  • Take a proactive and innovative approach to growing the business through community outreach.
  • Create annual and quarterly strategic plans to support the growth of the business.

People Leadership

  • Inspire and uplift your team through coaching, collaboration, and by embodying our core values.
  • Create a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion.
  • Attract, hire, and train and develop Team Members who are committed to exceptional customer service and sales performance.
  • Administer Performance Reviews, goal setting, and deliver feedback regularly.
  • Establish and maintain key communication rhythms including Team Meetings, regular connects with Assistant Store Manager, and weekly, monthly and quarterly business updates.
  • Engage, develop, and retain top talent by leveraging their expertise and unique skillset.

Mandatory Requirements

  • You’re comfortable working in ascented environment.
  • You're passionate about engaging Community Members in a personalized, hands-on way—demonstrating how to use products andapplying them directly to yourself and to Community Membersto create meaningful experiences.
  • You bring 3-5 years of retail leadership experience at the store manager or assistant manager level, with a passion of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • You're able to have aflexible work schedulewith availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays— including peak hours. As a leader in the business, you're expected to demonstrate flexibility to be present during key operating times, overlapping with all Team Members.
  • You commit to being available each year during thevacation black out period between November 15-January 15.
  • You have earned yourhigh school diploma. Due to the complexity of our products and our commitment to a strong learning environment, this role requires a minimum of a high school education.

Store Experience

  • You have a natural ability to build genuine relationships through strong communication skills, empathy, and active listening.
  • You have a strong aptitude for product sales and consumer engagement, confidently making bold recommendations and identifying upsell opportunities across categories (try-3 products).
  • You bring a competitive drive balanced with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Business Ownership

  • You're confident in retail operations including inventory management, merchandising, scheduling, performance management, and loss prevention.
  • You demonstrate strong business ownership with a proven ability to drive results, achieve KPIs, and enable team success through consistent, hands-on leadership.
  • You're self-motivated, take initiative, and own performance and outcomes.
  • You're attentive to your business and analyze reports to create and execute weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic plans, turning performance insights into actionable steps.
  • You have a desire to collaborate with other leaders and cross-functional partners for teaching, training and development to move the business forward.
  • You lead by example and have a natural talent for coaching, motivating and developing others.

At Saje, we understand that joining a team is an important decision to make. The base pay salary for this position is $60,000-$70,000/year. Base pay is dependent on market location and mayvary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
