An established pet retail company is seeking a Store Manager for its Waterloo location. In this role, you will supervise the retail team, ensuring excellent customer service and effective inventory management. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 - 5 years in customer service role.

The Store Manager is responsible for supervising the retail team to ensure customers’ needs are met by providing information on pet products and services and overseeing financial, scheduling and inventory process and procedures within the retail store.

Responsibilities
  • Coaching and motivating the retail team to attain sales goals, with emphasis on excellent customer service
  • Providing information to customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Overseeing inventory stocking and merchandising
  • Assisting customers on the sales floor, on the telephone, as well as at the registers
  • Recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining top management and sales talent for store
  • Seeking to learn and grow through personal learning and development opportunities
  • Following store schedule and ensuring managers are aware of potential schedule changes
  • Motivating team through Ren's vision of Best in Customer Experience
  • Communicating clear expectations and holding the store team and themselves accountable to the highest standards
  • Leading and inspiring an excellent customer service culture by recognizing and rewarding team
  • Building effective relationships amongst team
  • Participating in productive management and team meetings
  • Recognizing performance issues in a timely manner and developing action plans for resolution
  • Developing and executing store business plan that will lead the store to successfully achieve budget plans
  • Ensuring budgets are met including payroll management
  • Ensuring that all visual directives are executed seamlessly within scheduled time frame and payroll budget
  • Ensuring store’s execution of all merchandise processing and flow to the floor with backroom standards
  • Attaining accurate inventory levels and helping reduce shrinkage
