This position requires a deep commitment to the Christian faith, its principles and practices. This position can expect to regularly be praying with other staff clients and supporters. Day-to-day management of all aspects of the Super Thrift store : organization, receiving product by donation, pricing items for retail, structuring of the sales floor and managing front-line staff.
Thrift operations are crucial in funding ongoing addiction programs by generating revenue that directly supports these initiatives, ensuring their sustainability and reach. Additionally, thrift stores provide valuable work experience to students in recovery, offering a structured, supportive environment where they can develop essential skills, build confidence, and regain a sense of purpose as part of their rehabilitation journey. This dual impact strengthens both the programs’ financial foundation and participants’ personal growth, fostering long-term success.
The Store Manager is responsible for maintaining regular communication with the District Manager regarding item needs to meet sales targets and determining which items are suitable for sale. The District Manager oversees the procurement of all items, whether donated or purchased, and the Store Manager must remain aware of current and incoming donations. The Store Manager also collaborates with the Campus Manager to coordinate student work teams, and works alongside the assigned program work supervisor to train ATCCC students in the thrift vocational training tracks.
Review the annual thrift store budget with your supervisor. Participate, promote and support fundraising for the ministry of Adult & Teen Challenge of Central Canada.
