Job summary

Saskatoon Co-op is hiring at the store level to maintain a high standard of customer service and merchandising. The role requires operating a POS system, handling order receiving, and maintaining a neat store environment, with responsibilities assigned by the store manager.

Candidates must be flexible to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, and have the ability to learn policies and procedures while supporting loss prevention and back-office tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Serve it Right Saskatchewan certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Must possess knowledge and experience of merchandise handled to operate assigned sections.
• Familiar with all lines of merchandise handled by the site.
• Strong communication skills, service‑oriented and motivated to assist customers politely.
• Willing to improve product knowledge and merchandising techniques through courses and seminars.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and achieve high productivity.
• Physically able to handle the work to be assigned.
• Available to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Come to work with a positive, professional attitude.

• Provide outstanding courteous customer service.
• Stock, display and merchandise per Saskatoon Co-op policies.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly location at all times.
• Perform order receiving duties when required.
• Operate and maintain forklift, pallet jack, and equipment safely.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Responsible for loss prevention.
• Operate POS system and understand back-office functions.
• Adhere to Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures.
• Provide pump assistance as required.
• Handle administrative duties as assigned by the store manager.
• Complete daily reconciliations and reports as directed.
• Maintain general maintenance and equipment upkeep.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
