Giant Tiger in Truro, NS is hiring for a Store Associate (Part-Time) to join a friendly team. You will assist customers, operate checkout systems, stock and maintain displays, and follow store policies. Part-time shifts include days, evenings and weekends; full-time options also exist with 35–40 hours weekly.

• Accurately record customer transactions using the electronic cash register, mainline, and self‑checkout systems.
• Replenish merchandise around the checkout area.
• Follow up on hot‑selling items, complete markdowns, and make SKU changes when needed.
• Maintain planograms, labels, tickets, and signing standards.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Ensure compliance with all policies when selling tobacco and lottery.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Keep the checkout work area clean and organized.
• Follow loss prevention best practices.

When You’ll Work

Full‑time schedule: day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends (35‑40 hours weekly).
Part‑time schedule: a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.

Physical Demands of Position

• Stand and/or walk.
• Bend, twist, and squat.
• Lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs).
• Perform tasks involving firm grasping.
• Perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions.
• Reach above shoulder height and below waist level.
• Operate equipment, including using a ladder.
• Work within reasonable accommodations where needed.
