Job summary

Giant Tiger in Bolton, Ontario seeks a Store Associate to deliver excellent customer service, handle transactions, and maintain store presentation. You will stock shelves, operate SCOs, and ensure accurate pricing and signage while upholding safety and policy guidelines.

A typical full-time schedule includes day shifts with evenings and alternating weekends, totaling 35–40 hours weekly; part-time is days, evenings, and weekends up to 24 hours weekly. Benefits and a store discount are offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of customer service at checkout and throughout the store.
• Record transactions accurately on electronic cash registers and SCOs.
• Stock and replenish merchandise around the checkout area.
• Monitor hot selling items, complete markdowns and SKU changes as needed.
• Maintain planograms, labels, tickets and signing standards.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with loss prevention practices.
• Adhere to health and safety policies while performing duties.
• Keep checkout area clean and organized.
• Ensure compliance when selling Tobacco and Lottery products.

About This Role

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Ensuring a high level of customer service


• Accurately record customer transactions in electronic cash register, mainline and self checkouts (SCOs)


• Replenish merchandise around the checkout area


• Following up on hot selling items and completing markdowns and SKU changes when needed


• Maintaining planograms, labels, tickets and signing standards


• Performing cycle counts as required


• Ensuring compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery


• Ensuring health and safety policies and guidelines are followed


• Ensuring the checkout work area is kept clean and organized


• Ensuring Loss prevention best practices are followed

When You’ll Work:

A typical full-time schedule will consist of day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends with a schedule of 35-40 hours weekly. A typical part-time schedule will be a mix of days, evenings and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.
