Please Note: This role requires travel to our Langley Head office a valid license and reliable vehicle are required due to unavailable transit services.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld, primarily, but not limited to, stainless steel and steel process pipe.
• Complete structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication work.
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Ensure all welding processes are completed to specifications and quality expectations.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, repair, and maintain piping systems of various specifications and materials, including pressurized piping systems.
• Manufacture, install, and assemble components of industrial products and structures.
• Other welding and shop laboring activities as directed.

Qualifications

• A welding ticket/certification:
  • a BC welder certificate issued by Skilled Trades BC and endorsed with a Red Seal credential;
  • a BC welder level A or B certificate issued by Skilled Trades BC;
  • a welder trade qualification, endorsed with or without a Red Seal credential, by an apprenticeship authority in another jurisdiction of Canada.
• Class A certification from Technical Safety BC.
• 2 or more years of welding experience at a Journeyman level.
• Experience TIG welding stainless steel pipe.
• Ability to weld stainless steel & steel pipe spools, structural steel, and aluminum.
• Ability to complete repetitive tasks with consistent quality.
• Able to read & interpret drawings & specs.
• Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle.
• QA & QC experience is an asset.
• Experience doing a variety metal fabrication is an asset.
• Pipefitting experience is an asset.
