Staff Software Developer, Mobile

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the mission of the Staff Software Developer, Mobile is to empower Dialogue buyers to provide better health outcomes and achieve a stronger bottom line by creating best‑in‑class tools to supervise a delightful Integrated Health experience.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the development of new features for our mobile apps, ensuring a seamless and high‑quality user experience.
• Having a big impact on the business by driving key mobile initiatives from conception to launch.
• Acting as the primary subject matter expert for mobile development, guiding the technical direction and best practices for the team.
• Steering the mobile development process by identifying opportunities to improve our architecture and implementing more efficient processes for mobile development.
• Define plans to manage and reduce technical debt and contribute to its implementation.
• Participating in and contributing to all agile ceremonies, team meetings, and broader technology department activities.
• Collaborating with the wider development community to stay current with industry trends and implement them in our context.
• Working with an application used by millions of Canadians, directly influencing and improving their health and well‑being.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

• 7+ years of experience in mobile development with an excellent understanding of mobile best practices.
• Prior experience working with React Native and the Expo frameworks.
• Experience in building and maintaining applications for both iOS and Android.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
• The ability to act as a subject matter expert and influence the direction of a product or team.
• The capacity to work independently and drive initiatives without direct mentorship.
• An interest or experience in working on back‑end development is a plus.
