We are looking for a passionate and skilled Staff Product Designer to work on our Crypto product. In this role, you will be embedded on the Investing team, partnering closely with engineering and product to shape the future of our offering and deliver a high quality product to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead Crypto design, contributing to conversations and direction of the product roadmap and strategy.
• Understand the investing needs of our customers, empowering both new and sophisticated crypto investors with tools and knowledge to make informed decisions.
• Partner closely with engineering, data science and product management to find refined but practical solutions to design challenges.
• Create multiple concepts and prototypes, recognizing when meticulous attention to detail is needed and when low-fidelity sketches are adequate for visualizing ideas.
• Listen to users to develop the right product strategy and find solutions that delight our customers.
• Leverage data to inform your design solutions.
• Ensure UX efforts are aligned with the strategic direction and vision for your working areas.
• Raise the craft quality bar at Wealthsimple and mentor Designers in your domain.
• Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in crypto and on-chain technologies, guiding product and design decisions.
• Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies to integrate innovative solutions into our product design.

What you’ll bring

• Passion and knowledge of the web3 ecosystem.
• Expert practitioner in product design, capable of delivering thoughtful, polished experiences, including motion and interaction design.
• Demonstrated experience designing and shipping consumer-facing products.
• Proven ability to turn complex problems into simple experiences.
• Strong understanding of how design, product and engineering work together to ship high-quality experiences quickly and at scale.
• Effective communication of ideas and project direction to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Experience generating user insight by shaping and leading research studies.
• Ability to work independently, biasing towards action to drive projects forward.
