Dayforce is seeking a Staff Developer to lead the technical direction for an AI-native implementation workspace. You will own a product area end-to-end, frame high-complexity system-level problems, and raise the bar for engineering across teams.
You will drive reliability, design evaluation frameworks, and partner with Product, Design, MLE, Platform, and various HR/payroll domains to deliver auditable, production-ready agentic systems.
We are building the Intelligent Implementation Workspace, the AI-native system that will transform how customers go live on Dayforce.
It is one workspace that carries an implementation from a customer's raw inputs all the way through configuration, data migration, and testing. AI agents do the heavy lifting so the experts who deliver implementations are empowered to focus on the highest-value work. Domain agents across Workforce Management (WFM), Payroll, Core HR, and Benefits generate source-grounded configuration, tests, and data migrations. Human experts stay in the loop throughout, and their judgment remains crucial to how every customer goes live. This is a real product with a validated design and a clear path to reshape a market where implementation is one of the largest and least-disrupted spaces in enterprise software.
As a Staff Developer, you will set the technical direction for how we design and build these agentic systems. You will own a product area or platform surface end-to-end, frame the hardest system-level problems, and raise the bar for every engineer around you. You will help define the engineering foundations of an AI-native product from the ground up.
This role is ideal for someone who already builds with AI every day, is energized by agentic systems and the challenges of making them reliable, and wants to solve ambiguous, high-impact problems across teams. You should be comfortable setting technical direction where the right answer is not yet known and the ground is still being mapped.
If you are looking for well-scoped work, a mature and stable codebase, or a role where AI is a side interest rather than the core of the work, this is not that role.
