About the role

We’re adding a Staff Data Scientist to help inform the future of Webflow with data by building a deep understanding of how customers create for the web with our product. You’ll partner directly with key product stakeholders to identify business questions and provide data and quantitative analysis to answer them, leading the development of KPIs and helping teams understand how to improve our user experience.

The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with local labor markets. Base pay ranges are structured into zones by geographic markets; the specific base pay is determined by location, experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

  • United States (USD): Zone A $175,000 - $247,000; Zone B $164,000 - $232,000; Zone C $154,000 - $217,000
  • Canada (CAD): Zone A $199,000 - $281,000

This role is eligible to participate in Webflow's company-wide bonus program with target amounts based on base salary and company performance.

Reporting
  • Reporting to the Director, Data Science.
Responsibilities
  • Lead high-impact projects to drive insights and decision-making across Webflow’s critical initiatives.
  • Define and evolve product and business metrics with cross-functional teams to measure user experience and product performance.
  • Advance experimentation capabilities, guide design and interpretation of A/B tests, and champion a rigorous, iterative approach to product development.
  • Uncover growth opportunities through exploratory data analyses, customer segmentation, and predictive modeling that surface actionable insights across the customer journey.
  • Lead technical and non-technical team members in executing experiments, answering business questions with data, and researching levers to improve the product.
  • Partner with stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and User Research to blend qualitative and quantitative insights and inform product direction.
  • Develop the data foundation and contribute to the strategic roadmap for building new pipelines and tools to understand the customer journey and improve the customer experience.

About you

You’ll thrive as a Staff Data Scientist if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in a Data Science (or similar) role
  • Have interest and experience mentoring and developing technical skills within a team
  • Have demonstrated experience as a Data Scientist contributing to strategic roadmaps and delivering high-quality, reproducible analyses that impact company decisions
  • Have expertise in applied statistics (predictive modeling, hypothesis testing, regressions), segmentation, and experimentation (A/B testing) with the ability to explain concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Have proficiency in SQL and experience with a programming language like Python or R
  • Be curious about business and product data and thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Stay curious and open to growth, including fluency in emerging technologies like AI
