The Role

The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US GAAP, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.

What You Do
Month-end Close & Adjustments
  • Complete month-end adjustments, including prepaids, intercompany transactions, and accruals.
  • Prepare and post credit card accruals and actuals.
  • Record payroll journal entries and perform reconciliations.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Prepare correcting entries and adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with US GAAP.
Audit and Compliance
  • Assist with year-end audits by preparing accurate and detailed audit schedules.
  • Collaborate with auditors to provide requested documentation and clarifications.
Other responsibilities
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
