About the Role

As a Senior UX Researcher I, your purpose is to lead and conduct user research to inform product design decisions. You will analyze data, generate insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences. Your work will directly impact the development of intuitive and user-friendly products. You will be confident about designing and creating research studies and promoting the results. Responsibilities
  • Leads major research projects.
  • Employs a range of methods; plans and conducts research; analyzes and communicates findings.
  • Builds strong relationships with stakeholders in different disciplines; influences their strategic priorities.
  • Crafts research strategy with stakeholders aligned to product and design strategy.
  • Examines analytics data to inform research strategy and qualitative insights.
  • Works with designers and product managers to ideate and iterate on solutions.
  • Creates use cases, anchored in research insights, and prioritizes via users.
  • Recruits independently and conducts work compliantly.
  • Mentors more junior researchers.
Requirements
  • Understanding and experience with research methods such as interviews, focus groups, workshops, usability testing, card sorting, surveys, etc.
  • Experience using relevant tools for research analysis (e.g. Qualtrics, Dovetail, Excel, R) to expert level.
  • Experience conducting discovery (or generative) research, which focuses on understanding user needs, motivations and behaviours to identify opportunities and areas for innovation.
  • Demonstrated experience applying appropriate statistical methods to research questions.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively present research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Experience and demonstrable understanding of the nuances of researching in different contexts (remote / in person / unmoderated /moderated).
  • Bilingual English and French.
  • Degree in human factors, psychology, design, anthropology, or other relevant subject area.
  • Experience using the Jobs to Be Done framework.
  • Experience with Generative AI.
  • Understanding of the Canadian legal system.
